Celebrating World Happiness Day at Eco Moyo! 🌿✨

On March 20th, we joined the global celebration of World Happiness Day by reflecting on what truly brings us joy.

We started the day by asking the children two simple but meaningful questions: 1️⃣ What makes you happy? 2️⃣ What can you do to make others happy?

Each child wrote their answers on separate pieces of paper, which we used to create a Tree of Happiness—a colorful and heartwarming reminder of the little things that bring us joy every day.

Some of their responses included:

  • Eating

  • Sharing items

  • Helping each other

  • Playing

  • Dancing

  • Singing

  • Reading

  • Telling stories

  • Watching TV

To add even more laughter to the day, we held a laughing challenge! Three students had to laugh for 15 seconds straight. At first, they hesitated, but within seconds, their giggles became contagious, spreading to the entire group until we were all laughing together.

The celebration was filled with singing, dancing and conversations about happiness—not just our own, but the happiness we can bring to others. It was a powerful reminder that joy doesn’t always come from big achievements, but from the simplest things—playing, eating and learning. - And of course watching television!! Lets not forget this important source of happiness. When it’s time for TV class, you’ll hear them before you see them—a whole class sprinting toward the TV room, to get the best spot and make the most of their time, they don’t waste a second. You won’t see the same enthusiasm when it’s time for math class ;)
